HYDERABAD: The first day of the two-day strike called by Telangana Cab’s Association (TCA) was a downer, with little or no participation from cab drivers across the city. The call for strike came after a 34-year-old Uber driver committed suicide on Sunday owing to financial burdens.

The agitators demanded fulfillment of other long pending demands. TCA president M Sunil said the future course of action will be decided on Wednesday if their demands were not met.

“We will protest on Wednesday as well. If the government and private taxi aggregators don’t honour our demands, we will chalk out the future course of action,” Sunil said.

The association has also been demanding hike in their earning and incentives.
