HYDERABAD: Police arrested a 20-year-old student of Arizona University of USA, B Satwik Reddy under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act for carrying ganja in his Mercedes Benz car.
According to police, one N Anil Kumar Reddy, lodged a complaint with police that his BMW car which was parked in front of KBR park gate No 2, was dashed by another vehicle. Based on the complaint, police registered motor vehicle act.
Deputy Commissioner of Police, West Zone, A Venkateswara Rao said that B Satvik Reddy picked up his friend Veda Vyas at Banjara Hills on February 17 and they left the in Mercedes Benz registered in the name of BAR Estate.
As Satwik was drunk, he lost control over car and dashed BMW which was parked at KBR Park. During investigation, a vodka bottle and ganja weighing 5 gms were found in the crime vehicle. Police registered NDPS cases on Satwik.
