HYDERABAD: While making an appeal to all citizens in the city to pay their property tax immediately, GHMC commisioner B Janardhan Reddy directed all the zonal and deputy commissioners (Z&Dcs) to issue warrants to top defaulters and ensure that they meet property tax collection targets assigned to them.
Janardhan was speaking at a meeting held with all senior officials of the revenue wings of GHMC at FTAPCCI at Red Hills on Wednesday. He added that paying property tax on time can enable GHMC serve citizens better.   

The commissioner also informed that the online self assessment scheme is getting good response and directed all the Z&D commissioners to coordinate with residential welfare associations and colony residents to create awareness about the online scheme.
This can help them utilise the available online services at the comfort of their home.
Raghunandan Rao, collector, Ranga Reddy district, who was also part of the meeting, requested the DCs of the district to identify places for Urban Health Posts (UHP) in 24 wards and aid increase the current UHPs from three to 18 for and identify places for buildings even on hire to take up the task on priority.
