Moin planned lounge service at T3

HYDERABAD: Meat exporter Moin Akthar Qureshi, accused of conspiring criminally to influence officials in favour of Emaar scam accused Koneru Prasad, wanted to start a lounge service at Terminal 3 of Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) by investing his ill-gotten money. But he did not get permission from DIAL with Intelligence Bureau officials keeping a close watch on his illegal activities.

Records collected from income tax  department for years 2011, 2012, 2013 have revealed that Moin had taken huge sum of money from several persons to get undue favours from public servants and politicos. .
Through his company, India Premier Services Pvt Ltd (IPSPL), Moin applied for obtaining concession agreement from DIAL for running lounge service at Terminal 3 at Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi.

“The permission required security clearances from various government agencies. Certain government servants were in close touch with Moin and some other government servants dealing with the case were providing information to him about the movement of the file. Huge amount changed hands for this.
However,  permission was not granted due to observation by the IB,” officials of the Directorate of Enforcement in department of revenue of the ministry of finance told CBI officials.

It is also evident that Moin, who was able to get undue relief for the accused in the cases, received huge amount of money for the work done.
All this ill-gotten money, which ran into crores of rupees, was invested in properties abroad. Moin is learnt to have bought properties in five countries.
CBI officials, who are probing the case of criminal conspiracy in influencing public servants in favour of Koneru Prasad in the Emaar case, are probing how much money Moin  received from Prasad’s son Koneru Pradeep.
