Scribe ends life depressed over being named in dacoity case 

 Depressed over his name being linked to a dacoity case at Bollaram police station, reporter of a vernacular news channel ended his life on Tuesday.

HYDERABAD: Depressed over his name being linked to a dacoity case at Bollaram police station, reporter of a vernacular news channel ended his life on Tuesday.

Suman (24), the deceased, was earlier arrested and then released on bail on Monday. A resident of Bollaram, P Suman worked as a reporter with the news channel, when he along with 10 others were arrested by the Bollaram police on charges of dacoity, in which the accused have looted `19 lakh from a businessman.

The police told that on November 24, Suman along with the other accused, including two police constables working in Alwal police station, posed as task force officials and robbed `19 lakh cash from a businessman who was on the way to Armoor in Nizamabad.  

All the accused were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. On December 30, Suman obtained bail and was released from jail. Depressed over the allegations made against him, Suman went to an isolated area beside Shameerpet lake and hanged from a tree with a saree on Tuesday. Shamirpet inspector A Sattaiah said, A case of suspicious death has been registered, he said.
