Woman dies of swine flu at Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad

A woman suffering from swine flu died two days after delivering a still born baby. 

HYDERABAD: A woman suffering from swine flu died on Tuesday, two days after delivering a still born baby. Doctors alleged that she died of respiratory distress and hypertension. She delivered a still born baby while she was undergoing treatment at the swine flu ward of Gandhi Hospital.

The woman from Komaram Bheem district was first diagnosed with dengue. After she was tested positive for pneumonia, the pregnant woman was brought to Gandhi Hospital where she was diagnosed with swine flu. She was admitted in the flu ward on July 13. She died while treatment was being provided to her. 

Sources in the state health department said that a MLA from was tested positive for swine flu and was getting treated at a corporate hospital in Hyderabad.
