Focus on road restoration works: Minister KTR

In the light of roads getting battered due to incessant rains making the roads unpliable and causing hardships to people, the state government has directed all engineers to finish the work. 

HYDERABAD: In the light of roads getting battered due to incessant rains making the roads unpliable and causing hardships to people, the state government has woken up and directed all engineers working in various wings of Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to take up road restoration works on priority.

Minister for Municipal Administration, KT Rama Rao instructed GHMC officials to mainly concentrate on road restoration works for the next three months.Minister reviewed the condition of the roads in the twin cities along with Musi rejuvenation project and Hussainsagar Conservation and Improvement Project (HCIP) at Pragathi Bhavan on Thursday. 

He suggested that wherever works of flyovers, grade separators, road under bridges and road corridors etc are going under Strategic Road Development Programme (SRDP) in GHMC limits, the roads should be laid with concrete cement (CC).
