HYDERABAD: The High Court on Friday made it clear that the interviews conducted by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) for recruitment to Group-I posts, pursuant to the second provisional list published on July 19, shall be subject to the final outcome of the present petition challenging the impugned list.

Justice MS Ramachandra Rao said this while dealing with a lunch motion petition filed by some aspirants to the posts, challenging  TSPSC’s announcement of the second provisional list.
The mains (written) examination was held in September last year pursuant to the notification issued in 2011 in the erstwhile united AP state.

Petitioners’ counsel B Rachana Reddy pointed out that publication of a second revised provisional list was unheard of in the procedure followed by the commission for recruitment and there were lots of discrepancies between the first and the second provisional lists, and the names of  several ‘deselected’ candidates and others were added to the list while some hall-ticket numbers went missing from the list.

While admitting the petition, the judge said that the selections shall be subject to the outcome of the present case. He directed the respondents to file counter affidavits and adjourned the case by three weeks.
