Nine arrested in three separate Ganja cases

HYDERABAD: Cyberabad police confiscated as much as 200 kg worth Rs 37 lakh cannabis along the ORR on Friday. Police cracked down on the inter-state transport of the contraband procured from Vizag en route to Mumbai based on a tip-off.

The contraband was being transported in two cars. The west zone task force intercepted the first car, a Hyundai Verna at Puppalguda toll gate while the other car evaded the intercept. 
The police gave a chase but found the second car, a Nissan Micra abandoned along ORR. Police are on a look for three men who were present in the car. The two men in the Hyundai, Beesu Naresh and Macharla Madhu were arrested. 

In a separate instance, Cyberabad police booked seven in possession of ganja on Friday. Five of the accused were nabbed from Malaysian township. Of the five, Ektha Negi and Gopi Sadhana are flatmates. 
Two others, Abilash Marupilla and Mavva Nithin Sai are also roommates. The fifth accused Devaraju Uday is a student.

F1.2L worth Ganja seized from train
Hyderabad:
Three bags of ganja weighing about 30 kg and priced I1.2 lakh was seized from Konark Express on Thursday. GRP had taken up surprise check in the train between Lingampalli and Tandur station. They noticed three bags in S-6 coach. Upon finding no one possessing the bags, GRP seized them.

2 held with 150 kg of Ganja in Sangareddy
Sangareddy:
Excise Task Force officials arrested two persons for selling Ganja at many places in the district and Hyderabad. The officials recovered 150 kg Ganja and seized a four-wheeler and a motorcycle from the accused. On a tip off, Task Force officials from Hyderabad raided Antharam village on Friday while the duo were selling Ganja.
