Bizman’s minor daughter confined, three held, one absconding in Hyderabad

Three persons were arrested for confining a minor girl, who came from Bangalore. Another accused, a People’s Union for Civil Liberties leader is still absconding in connection with the case.

HYDERABAD: Three persons were arrested for confining a minor girl, who came from Bangalore. Another accused, a People’s Union for Civil Liberties leader is still absconding in connection with the case.

The arrested persons are Shoeb, Azahar Siddiqui and Rasheed, all residents of Edi Bazar. One Iqbal, leader of People’s Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) is absconding. 

The deputy commissioner of police, South Zone, V Satyanarayana said that a 15-year-old girl, a resident of Bangalore, was befriended with one Shoeb on facebook. During chatting, Shoeb noticed that the girl is rich and wanted to cheat her.

Few days ago, the girl came to the city believing accused who promised to marry her. On February 26, she arrived the city. Same day, the accused Shoeb received the girl and took to his friend Rasheed’s residence. After spending nine days at the place, with the help of Iqbal, PUCL, the accused approached SHRC filing false complaint stating that the girl’s parents have demised and she is living at her aunt’s residence. The girl was harassed by her aunt and she ran away from the residence in Bangalore,’’ the DCP said.

The family members of the girl lodged a complaint with Bangalore police who swung into action and rescued the girl from the residence of Rasheed.
