No throwing of colours in public: Hyderabad top cop

Hyderabad police commissioner issued orders that prohibit throwing colour or coloured water on persons, places and vehicles or smearing people with colour.

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad police commissioner M Mahendar Reddy on Saturday issued orders which prohibit throwing colour or coloured water on persons, places and vehicles or smearing people with colour, on public roads and public places in Hyderabad City, causing annoyance.

This year, the festival will be celebrated on Sunday and Monday.

Besides, action might be taken against those who drive two or four-wheelers rashly, he said.

Meanwhile, M Mahendar Reddy  also prohibited, “movement of two-wheelers and other vehicles in groups on streets and public places disturbing peace and order and or causing inconveniences, annoyance or danger to public”.
