Detained missing girls wanted to visit Kasi: Police

HYDERABAD: Five girl students, who went missing few days ago and went to Visakhapatnam, wanted to visit Kasi, as part of summer tour without intimating their parents. When the girls were moving in Zoo park in Visakhapatnam, the city police got a tip off and detained them with the help of Visakhapatnam police.
The five girls were shifted to city and handed over to their parents respectively by the police. These students include Sreenidhi, Prathiba, Sanjeetha, Preethi and Nandini went missing. A case was registered by Amberpet police after the students went missing.
The Amberpet inspector AP Anand Kumar said that the students wanted to tour to Kasi without informing their parents after they appeared their final exams.
The five girls are studying Pragathi Vidyanikethan school in Amberpet and all are residing in the surroundings of Amberpet.
“About a month back, the five minor girls decided to go to Kasi on tour without intimating their parents. As part of their plan, on March 16, after attending the final examination, they all went to Visakhapatnam by train from Secunderabad railway station by travelling in general compartment,” he said.
“While they were moving in Zoo Park at Visakhapatnam, the canteen manager observed them as missing from Hyderabad and informed to the police,’’ the inspector added while speaking to Express.
