HYDERABAD: The inquiry report on the issue at Government General and Chest Hospital where ward boys demanded money from V Krishna, is expected to be submitted to officials in Health and Family Welfare department by Tuesday.

The patient, who was suffering from chronic form of Tuberculosis (TB), was admitted at the hospital on the morning of March 13. His wife V Kavitha complained to doctors there that ward boys demanded money to provide oxygen support, and that a lady doctor denied to attend her husband. Krishna died on the same night. However, superintendent of the hospital Dr A Sai Kumar said that there were no issues with treatment provided to the patient.
A day after the issue, the two Class-IV employees were suspended, memos were issued to duty doctor, in-charge of nurses. It is learnt that a three-member committee questioned close to 30 employees, Class-IV employees and nurses about the issue.
“The inquiry is complete and the report is being filed,” a doctor said. It was earlier reported that the two ward boys will be deputed to government hospital in other districts.
