Hyderabad SIO holds round-table conference

Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO), Hyderabad Chapter, organised a round table conference on Sunday.

HYDERABAD: Students Islamic Organisation of India (SIO), Hyderabad Chapter, organised a round table conference on Sunday. The conference aimed at addressing the issue of violence and discrimination faced by minority students and lack of security within the state and central educational campuses.

Students from Osmania University and University of Hyderabad participated in the conference. Speaking at the event, Khalida Parween, Civil Society activist, said, “I urge the student community to take their debates outside the campuses.” Layeeq Ahmad Khan, state president of SIO, Telangana said, “The student leaders and civil society members should unite and challenge the forces who are posing danger to social fabric of the country.”
