HYDERABAD: Osmania University has decided that ‘A Grounds’ on the campus as the venue for inaugural event of centenary celebrations to be held on April 26.
As President Pranab Mukherjee has consented to be chief guest for the inaugural event, the university has sent details regarding the venue to the police to conduct security checks.
Once the security checks are completed, a detailed report is expected to be submitted to the commissioner M Mahendar Reddy.
To ensure smooth conduct of the centenary celebrations, 800 NSS volunteers and 400 NCC cadets will be roped in from OU and its affiliated colleges.
