HYDERABAD: We were seated in the Tata Hexa, and there was a steep incline in front of us. As the professional stunt driver from Cougar Motorsport instructed us to wear the seatbelts, I had butterflies in my stomach. Will the Hexa make it? Or will it topple over? My pulse began to race.

The true off-roading capacity of the machine began to dawn on me. I took the test drive on the open road and found that despite its size, the Hexa was nimble and handled corners deftly. The automatic transmission was smooth and the accleration a delight to experience.
