HYDERABAD: Artist Anand Bekwad’s art exhibition ongoing at the Gallery Cafe has a lot to offer for the viewers as he captures history and its surroundings in his unique ways.

Titled ‘Bygone Bylanes’ the medium that the artist has chosen is watercolours that narrate the journey of water and different landscapes. The exhibition will be on till June 5.

As one delves deeper into his artworks, one sees places of significance and reverence like Madurai Temple painted with beautiful strokes that summarise the amalgamation of blue and green and what clear photo-finish look it can give to the canvas.

The two colours are juxtaposed the red hue of the temple shaded by the fresh green signifying the solace it has to offer.

And then one immediately glances at the bright-blue of The Ganges flowing majestically through the heart of Varanasi. On its calm waters float boats ready to take the travellers or perhaps waiitng to be captured by an artist or a photographer.

He has also drawn Pattadakal Temple, Karnataka with brilliant finish. His leaves and flowers on another canvases do the justice to other frames.
