IMD extends heatwave warning

Residents of Hyderabad and elsewhere in Telangana who have been hoping for relief from the heatwave will have to wait even more, reports have suggested. 

HYDERABAD: Residents of Hyderabad and elsewhere in Telangana who have been hoping for relief from the heatwave will have to wait even more, reports have suggested. 


In Hyderabad minimum temperature was recorded at 30 degree Celsius. The IMD also predicted that light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur in TS in the near future.
IMD Hyderabad Centre has extended heatwave warning till Saturday. On Thursday heatwave prevailed at isolated places across the state including the districts of Adilabad, Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Mahabubnagar, Medak and Nalgonda.


The maximum temperature recorded by IMD on Thursday was 45.5 degree Celsius at Adilabad followed by 45 degree Celsius at Ramagundam and Nizamabad,  44.4 degree Celsius at Nalgonda and Medak and 43 degree Celsius at Bhadrachalam, Hanmakonda and Hyderabad. Nights continue to be hot across the state with no signs of any dip in temperature.
