The painting competition for children by Round Table India and Ladies Circle India celebrates specially gifted children on Nov 14

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad is gearing up for Taare Zameen Par, a drawing and painting competition by Round Table India and Ladies Circle for Specially Gifted Children on Children’s day. The event is inspired by the Aamir Khan movie by the same name, wherein a child’s passion is considered above his academic capabilities and his feelings are valued more than his marks in his exams. Children from schools who cater to their special needs are transported to the venue to help them take part in the competition.

The painting material is provided by Round Table India. As they paint, there are balloon twisters, magicians to entertain them besides music, dance, refreshments and lunch. While the winners get prizes, the others get participation certificates along with a gift hamper. The members of Round Table India and Ladies Circle along with their spouses and children volunteer for this event. Entry is free for all children.

“These children are differently gifted. At Round Table India, we feel they are definitely gifted. These children dwell in a beautiful world of their own.  Devoid of number crunching pressures. No deadlines. Just the pleasure of enjoying the moment. No ghosts of the past as memories, No phantoms of the future as worries. The sheer joy of living for the moment,” the members say.
