HYDERABAD: NTPC organised the State Level painting competition for school children from  Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in Hyderabad  on Wednesday as a part of the nationwide energy conservation campaign launched by the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India.  R. Hari Kumar, general manager (HR), NTPC Southern Region Headquarters presented the prizes to the winners. 

He presented SBI Gift  Cards worth  `20,000 for first prize winners, `15,000 for second prize winners and  `10,000 for the third prize winners. The winners of state level competition will represent Telangana and Andhra Pradesh at the national level painting completion on energy conservation to be held in New Delhi on December 12.

The painting competition on energy conservation is held in three stages, namely, School, State and National Level. The school level competition was completed in both states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in which 30000 children from various schools in Telangana and 40,000 children from across AP participated. 100 children of IV, V and VI standards in one group and for VII, VIII and IX standard school children in another group selected from among the entries received from various schools from each state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh took part in the state level painting  competition.
