HYDERABAD: A domestic help allegedly attempted to kill her 82-year-old employer and fled the place snatching her gold chain at Wahab Nagar in Karkhana late Thursday night.
According to Karkhana police, 82-year-old Sarojini has been living along with her family members at Wahab Nagar in Karkhana near Secunderabad. The domestic help Laxmi, a resident of Bowenpally, was hired recently by the family.
Based on Sarojini's complaint, police have registered a case of theft and attempt to murder against Laxmi. In her complaint, Sarojini said that she was alone at home. In the evening, Laxmi left for home after finishing her work. However, she returned to the owner's residence and noticed Sarojini sleeping.
“Laxmi tried to kill Sarojini by suffocating her with a pillow. But Sarojni managed to resist by screaming for help,” the police said. “On hearing her screams, the neighbours rushed to the place. Meanwhile, Laxmi snatched her gold chain and fled the place," they added.
Police are on the lookout for domestic help Laxmi and further investigation is on.
