Man throttled, set ablaze by his two wives

A man was throttled and set ablaze allegedly by his two wives, who were vexed of being beaten up by him everyday.

HYDERABAD: A man was throttled and set ablaze allegedly by his two wives, who were vexed of being beaten up by him everyday. The incident took place in Jagadgirigutta police station limits of Cyberabad commissionerate. G Mahender (45), a labourer was living in Jagadgirigutta.

He has two wives Padma (38) and Jyothi (33). Mahender, an alcoholic, was harassing his wives daily and used to beat them up and also his children sometimes. Vexed with his behaviour, his wives hatched a plan to kill him.

Around 4 am on Sunday, Mahender came home drunk and picked up a fight with his son Uday Kiran and started beating him. His wives intervened and quarrelled with him. Later, with a help of a saree the women throttled his neck and pushed Mahender out of the house, doused him with kerosene and set him ablaze.

In another incident, a ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi youth leader allegedly attempted to kill his wife for delivering a girl child. The TRS leader was taken into custody by Medipally police for attempt to murder of his wife.
