Trigamy case of TRS party activist: Kin of accused held

In the sensational case of trigamy at Medipally police station limits, in which a city-based businessman and a TRS activist were arrested, the police arrested the parents of the prime accused.

HYDERABAD: In the sensational case of trigamy at Medipally police station limits, in which a city-based businessman and a TRS activist were arrested, the police on Wednesday arrested the parents of the prime accused.On November 19, P Sangeetha of Serilingampally had lodged a complaint with the Medipally police that her husband Srinivas Reddy was arrested on the same day for attempt to murder and trigamy, and also for demanding additional dowry from his second wife Sangeetha, for giving birth to girl child. 

After Sangeetha staged a protest in front of her husband’s house demanding arrest of her in-laws, political leaders rushed to ensure justice to her. Earlier, Malkajgiri MP and TJAC chairman visited Sangeetha at her in-law’s house. in Boduppal.  A few hours later, police arrested Srinivas Reddy’s parents P Ilamma (58), P Bal Reddy (64) and also his brother P Sridhar Reddy (30), who had also allegedly abused and beaten Sangeetha’s brother, when he had gone to their house to talk about the family disputes.
