HYDERABAD: Tollywood actor Rajasekhar lost control of his car and rammed the car ahead of his, on the PVNR elevated expressway, on Sunday night. The actor, according to police, was said to be driving under influence of sleeping pills taken repordely to battle depression. However, no one was injured and no complaint has been lodged with police.At around 12 am, the actor left his home after a fight with his family members. He consumed sleeping pills and took out his car.
His wife Jeevitha, immediately called the police and informed that Rajasekhar had consumed pills and came onto the roads driving his car.When the car was heading towards Shamshabad, Rajasekhar lost control over the SUV and rammed into another oncoming car at pillar no 240. Police were intimated through dial 100 and a team including Rajendranagar sub-inspector S Shiva Prasad reached the spot.
“He was drowsy when the incident happened. He consumed sleeping pills as he was in depression after his mother’s demise. A ceremony is being observed on Monday at his home in connection with his mother’s demise,” said SI Prasad.
