Boy attacks classmates with a pocket knife

 Two engineering students in city were attacked by their classmate over a petty issue.

HYDERABAD: Two engineering students in city were attacked by their classmate over a petty issue. The accused student Rohit, who is absconding since the attack, allegedly took out a pocket knife to inflict his classmates badly when they were entering the college on Friday.The incident took place outside Narasimha Reddy Engineering College at Maisammaguda of Pet Basheerabad police station limits. 

At around 9.30 am, when Bhuvaneshwar, a first year civil engineering student got down the college bus and was walking towards the class, when his classmate Rohit, mercilessly attacked him with a pocket knife. Bhuvaneshwar suffered a severe injury where his left cheek got torn and also a slice on his neck. The injury is about a half a inch depth and about three-inch wide. He also received injuries to his face, legs, hands and back. Rohit did not stop with that and attacked another student, Vaibhav Tiwari, during his attempt to stop the former, before fleeing from the spot.

The college officials who learnt about the incident, rushed the injured students immediately to Malla Reddy Narayana Multispeciality Hospital in Jeedimetla. “Prima facie it is found that accused and Bhuvaneshwar had some issues in the college, which turned brutal. However exact reasons will be found out during probe. The two victims are out of danger and are being treated. A hunt is on with three teams to nab absconding student who is booked under section 307 of IPC,” Pet Basheerabad inspector S Ravi Chandra said.
