HYDERABAD:Globally reputed ICT company Acer has expressed interest in working with GHMC to solve Hyderabad’s traffic woes. The representatives of Acer, which has developed an integrated traffic management system and successfully operating it in Taiwan, will meet with Telangana government representatives on Tuesday, to discuss on the probable solutions for Hyderabad’s traffic problems.

“We have known about the GHMC’s recent initiative of asking citizens and organisations to let out free spaces for parking lots to solve parking problems. It is an innovative initiative. Acer already has a well developed integrated traffic management system, which is being successfully implemented in Taiwan. We map available parking spaces in real time and ensure that congestion is avoided in cities. This can be implemented even here , just by doing some local adaptation.”

“Already we are discussing with Union government to implement our integrated traffic management system in Smart Cities initiative. We are ready to work with GHMC on this,” said Chandrahas Panigrahi, Chief Marketing Officer and Consumer Business Head, Acer India, at WCIT.
