HYDERABAD: The Bachupally police registered a case against two persons for allegedly grabbing open land worth around `100 crore by creating fake land documents and selling them to individuals as plots.

According to sources, the two accused — a former corporator and a local TRS leader — grabbed the land belonging to one Damodar Rao, a businessman of Kukatpally.

Rao owned 30 acre land at Bachupally village. He recently realized that several plots belonging to him at Suraram, Subhash Nagar, Gajularamaram, Bowrampet, Bahadurpally and Bhagyalaksmi Colony were registered on other persons’ names without his involvement and lodged a complaint with the police. The police did not reveal the names of the accused.
