Accused has cheated many: Cops
HYDERABAD: Inquiries into the fake Bitcoin fraud by Cyberabad Cybercrime Police revealed that the keyaccused Vasireddy Radharani had cheated many persons in the past under the pretext of providing loans and arranging finance to their businesses. After collecting amounts from them as commission, she would avoid. But when a few of them went to police, she returned their amounts.
However, this is the first time she was involved in a Cyber fraud. After she got acquainted to P Praveen Reddy, who is a techie, she devised this fraud with his suggestion, police said.
Radharani, a mother of two had told her family that she was into finance business. Though she claimed of no previous criminal records, police suspect that she has a criminal past and more victims would come forward after the news of her arrest. “So far, five persons have fallen prey to Radharani’s frauds and she had altogether collected around `40 lakh from them. We are trying to trace the victims. We hope to extract more details about her after this,” officials claimed.
