Filmy-style gangster nabbed at Hyderabad

A notorious offender, who was wanted in three states, was arrested in the city in a joint operation by Madhapur Special Operation team and Haryana Special Task Force police.

HYDERABAD:  A notorious offender, who was wanted in three states, was arrested in the city in a joint operation by Madhapur Special Operation team and Haryana Special Task Force police. The arrested person is Sampath Nehara (26), a native of Kalodi at Churu district in Rajasthan. The accused was involved in 10 sensational murders, three attemptto- murder cases, extortion and robbery cases in Punjab, Rajasthan and Haryana.

Nehara started his criminal career at DAV College in Punjab University where he was pursuing BA course. He was associated with a gang led by one Lawrence Bishnoi. After the arrest of Bishnoi, he led the gang. “For committing murder, the accused used to fire sometimes with both hands.

In Panchkula in Haryana, he sprinkled chilli powder in the eyes of escort police, opened fire and took away one of his gang members. In another incident, he opened fire on one Ajay on court premises in Rajasthan and killed him. After being on the run, he arrived in Hyderabad 20 days back and was staying in a house in Miyapur,” Cyberabad police commissioner VC Sajjanar said.
