IMH advised to install 80 CCTVs to enhance security

HYDERABAD: After the gruesome murder of an elderly woman, whose dead body was found on the premises of Institute of Mental Health at Erragadda in the city, police have sent a letter to the institute authorities suggesting that they install at least 80 more CCTV cameras in all parts of the hospital to enhance security.

While the hospital staff wonder if the cameras will remain intact, considering the past incidents of outsiders damaging the lights on the premises, police say that there has been no incident of cameras being vandalised anywhere in the city. On June 14, the body of Narsamma (58) was found with her ankles chopped.
