Family Court allows Manoj K Jayan’s plea

The Ernakulam Family Court on Monday stayed its earlier order permitting Urvasi to keep her twelve-year-old daughter M K Tejalakshmi alias Kunjatta in custody during vacations. The Family Court asked Urvasi to hand over the child to Manoj K Jayan, but permitted to keep her on Sundays from 2 to 6 pm.

Family court Judge N Leelamani passed the order while considering Manoj’s petition to review the earlier order. The Ernakulam Family Court had earlier granted permission to actor Urvasi for keeping her daughter Kunjatta with her during vacations The earlier verdict was passed ex-parte with Manoj K Jayan failing to appear before the court. The court had made it clear that there is no need to shift the school where the child is currently studying.

The court orally observed that the stubborn attitude of both parties has prevented the final settlement of the dispute. It is unfortunate that even after two days of talks, no solution could be reached at, the court said.

Meanwhile, Manoj K Jayan filed a petition seeking appropriate action against V P Kavitha Ranjini alias Urvasi and her Counsel T Rama Prasad Unni for propagating fabricated version of the court order.
