K Natarajan moves HC against suspension

The State Information Commissioner, who was suspended for allegedly interfering in a land allotment case involving Opposition Leader V S Achuthanandan, on Tuesday moved the Kerala High Court challenging the action against him.

K Natarajan filed a petition seeking to quash  the recommendation of the state government to suspend him. The Governor had suspended Natarajan, a former DIG of police, on the basis of the recommendation of the state government. It has been alleged that the Information Commissioner gave instruction to investigating officer V G Kunhan to absolve Achuthanandan from the accusations in the land allotment case. Later, the government requested the governor to take action against Natarajan.
