The stage is set for Kerala’s biggest glam event as 21 beauties will vie for the crown of ‘Miss Kerala’ flaunting grace and confidence on the ramp. The twelfth edition of the popular pageant will have its grand finale on October 20 at Hotel Raviz, Kollam. Started in 1999 by Impressario Event Management Company, ‘Miss Kerala’ has become the most awaited beauty pageant over the years. Be it Ranjini Haridas or Rima Kallingal, those who have won the title could find umpteen opportunities in the entertainment industry.
This year the pageant rolled over to the other parts of Kerala and outside India, where Malayalis are based. The auditions were conducted in Kochi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad and Dubai. From 400 applications received 21 talented young girls were shortlisted for the finale. The 21 finalists are Midhila Mohan (Bangalore), Reshmi Nair (Bangalore), Shruthi Ram (Bangalore), Sharu P V (Bangalore), Saanika Nambiar (Mumbai), Deepti Sati (Mumbai), Binoodha Sasi (Mumbai), Swapna Nair (Ahemdabad), Aishwarya Johny (Ahemdabad), Tanya Stanly (Dubai), Tanya Mathew (Dubai), Maysa John (Dubai), Roshni Eappen (Dubai), Rwitu Jose (Kochi), Chandni Janachandran(Kochi), Dhanya Unnikrishnan (Cochin), Sreelakshmi M (Kochi), Pooja Sasidhar (Kochi), Deepti Nair (Kochi), Aileena Catherine Amon (Cochin) and Reenu Sunny (Kochi). The final 21 contestants are groomed for 8 days by an expert panel of achievers and celebrities before the finale. This time the pageant groomers include Rahul Easwar, Nuthan Manohar, Praveen Parameswar, Rahul Nair, Manoj Meledath and Ruhi Sinha.
The show will be choreographed by renowned fashion choreographer Justine Bhatt. Fashion designers Anuj Sharma and Amrita Saluja will present the costumes for the show.
The contestants will go through three challenging rounds during the grand finale of Miss Kerala, and these include sari, party wear and gown rounds.
Apart from the main title, the contestants would vie for ‘Miss Beautiful Hair’, ‘Miss Beautiful Skin’, ‘Miss Beautiful Eyes’, ‘Miss Beautiful Smile’, ‘Miss Talented’, ‘Miss Photogenic’, ‘Miss Congeniality’, ‘Miss Perfect Ten’, ‘Miss Sensuality’ and ‘Miss Vivacious’ subtitles.
