Excel 2012 from Thursday

Excel 2012, the three-day annual Techno-Managerial Festival jointly   organised by the Government Model Engineering College (MEC) and Litmus 7 Systems Consulting Private Limited will be held from September 27 to 29. The 13th edition of the annual fest is being held with the motto INSPIRE,  INNOVATE, ENGINEER.

“More than 40 events have been scheduled to be held over the span of three days. Technical events covers the fields of computer science, electronics  and communication, electrical and electronics and electronics and biomedical engineering. A wide range of non-technical, general and fun events have also been included,” organisers said. 

Former Supreme Court Judge N Santosh Hedge, bass guitarist Jayen Varma, Dhimant Vyas, animator of acclaimed hindi movie ‘Taare Zameen Par’ will  speak at TEDxMEC, a session to be held on September 27.  Aswin Sreenivas will be the teen speaker. It is the first time a teen speaker is introduced in  the fest.  

‘Issue!’, an interactive talk session, to be held on 28th September, will be moderated by Rekha Menon and P C Cyriac (IAS) will be the moderators at Issue, Former DGP  Jacob Punnose, Deputy Mayor B Bhadra, journalist Pramod Raman and  Rahul Easwar will take part in the debate on the Media : Sense or Sensation? Watching the Watchdog

Proshow, to be held on 29th September at 6pm, will have Naresh Iyer and his team performing at MECA’s Amphitheater. IBETO, to be held on September 29, aims to create projects using technology for the betterment of society.
