KOCHI: The National Pharmacy Week celebrations 2014 at Amrita School of Pharmacy commenced with a silent walkathon from Gandhi Statue, near Rajendra Maidan to High Court junction. Around 200 pharmacy students and many teachers of Amrita School of Pharmacy participated. Street plays conveying various messages on right use of medicines and tips for healthy living were enacted by the fourth year Pharm D students at the finishing point.
The National Pharmacy Week theme is ‘Responsible use of medicines - Role of pharmacist’. Various awareness programmes will be organised for a week. The programme will conclude on Monday.
