KOCHI: The World Safety Day 2015 was observed with different programmes under the auspices of the Hospital Safety Department in Amrita Institute of Medical Science.
Cine actor Kaviyoor Ponnamma inaugurated the function. Swamiji Njanamritanandapuri delivered the benedictory address and pointed out that the route cause of all miseries of the world was greed and carelessness of mankind.
He said safety could be achieved and ensured only when deeds are performed with God in mind.
V Baburajan, HOD, Hospital Safety Department, read the World Safety Day pledge. Medical director Dr Prem Nair, medical superintendent Dr Sanjeev K Singh, radiation safety officer Bhaskara Pillai, Dr B Jayaprakash director, Cochin Fire Guard and Unnikrishnan N, electrical safety officer, spoke on the occasion.
