KOCHI: Lakeshore Hospital and Research Centre is offering an advanced diabetes checkup package at the special rate of Rs 2,950.
The Diabetes Camp-2015 will held from November 14 to December 14. At the camp, Endocrinology HoD Dr Ramesh Gomaz, Diabetology HoD Dr Johny Jose Kannamballi and Ophthalmology HoD Dr E M Haris of Lakeshore Hospital will conduct special checkups.
“With the number of diabetes cases increasing rapidly, it has been noticed that 25 per cent of the diabetes patients tend to contract neuropathy at some stage. Obesity, history of diabetes in family, dark sports on neck and underarms and excessive day-time sleep are the symptoms of diabetes. Numbness, swelling, pain, reduced sensation and difficulty to walk are the other symptoms, which can be treated effectively through the advanced checkup,” said an official statement.
