KOCHI: Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences here organised a get-together of those who underwent renal transplantation and kidney donors.
Richard Hay MP inaugurated the get-together. “Social security should be ensured for people with kidney diseases as the number of patients are increasing in the state”, the MP said. The function also honoured kidney donors. Swami Karunamrutha Chaithanya lighted the lamp. Medical director Prem Nair, Amrita School of Medicine Prathapan Nair, medical superintendent Sanjeev K Singh, Nephrology department head George Kurian, among others spoke. Kidney recipients and donors shared their experience.
