Roadside vendors had a field day selling every imaginable accessory that could pass the security check at the stadium entry points as the festive mood reached its tipping point.
A three-month long football season that had its ups and downs and at the end of it all, an electrifying final between Kerala Blasters and Atletico de Kolkata lived up to the billing.

Prior to the game, the legion of Blasters fans had to sweat it out to be a part of the spectacle as the tickets for the grand finale were sold out days before the big event, but the fixture itself did not disappoint the ones who were lucky enough to witness the game from the stands amidst a sea of yellow army.

It is curtains down to another season of football in which Blasters emerged from the peripheries to rise to the top of the pile. Come this time next year, the players in yellow will be back in action and with them the fans too, filled with renewed vigour and hunger for more success.
