KOCHI: SmartCity Kochi celebrated Onam in a grand way on its campus with various cultural programmes for the IT professionals working there. Jaber bin Hafez, vice chairman, SmartCity Kochi, Baju George, Interim CEO, SmartCity Kochi and Neenu K K, chairperson, Maradu Municipality, were present at the celebrations.
Hundreds of IT professionals employed with the occupant companies actively participated in the Onam celebrations, which SmartCity was hosting for the first time. Floral carpet and tug-of-war competitions were organised for the employees, who were clad in traditional Kerala attire.
Employees of Little GEMS, Singnet Solutions Pvt Ltd, 7Nodes Technology Solutions Pvt Ltd, dimensionz Solutions Pvt Ltd, Mariapps Marine Solutions Pvt Ltd, Path Solutions India Pvt Ltd and Ihits Technologies participated in the cultural programmes. As part of the celebrations, dance show by students of Little GEMS and Thiruvathirakali performance by employees of the occupant companies were held. Speaking on the occasion, Jaber bin Hafez, said, “I am very happy to attend Onam celebrations. It’s the first time I am attending Onam celebrations in Kerala.”
