Seminar on food safety on Monday

 A national seminar on ‘Food safety issues in perishables’   jointly organised by the Kochi chapter of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) and the Department of Vocational Studies (B.Voc. Food Processing Technology) of St Teresa’s College will be held on April 10. 

KOCHI: A national seminar on ‘Food safety issues in perishables’   jointly organised by the Kochi chapter of the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS) and the Department of Vocational Studies (B.Voc. Food Processing Technology) of St Teresa’s College will be held on April 10. 


 The event is aimed at analysing the different factors to ensure food safety. Ways and means for the safe handling of perishable food such as meat, poultry, fish, milk, eggs, raw fruits and vegetables will be discussed.

Commissioner of Food Safety Navjot Khosa will inaugurate the seminar and CMFRI director A Gopalakrishnan, who is also the convener of the NAAS Kochi Chapter, will preside over.
