KOCHI: The city police arrested three youths with ganja and nitrozone tablets.
Officers said the trio-- Thomas Jose,19, Payyappilli Veettil, Kozhikode; Suryakiran, 29, hailing from Guntur in Andhra Pradesh and Ashar, 18, of Ashar Manzil, Alumkadavu, Kollam, who were under the scanner of the Shadow Police team for the past few days, were nabbed by the Kochi Central Police.
Ten nitrozone tablets and 1.25 kg ganja were seized from them, they said. The arrests followed a probe into the ganja mafia supplying contraband to the students in the city.
Officers said the police had recovered the text messages on the supply of the drugs sent by the accused to their customers, including women, from the mobile phones of the arrested trio.
Besides, the police recovered footage of the training being imparted by the accused to the customers on how to use the drugs. A detailed inquiry is on, said the officers.
