Shrugging off the demons of Black Friday, the actor on Saturday returned to the sets a week after the nightmarish ordeal with a steely resolve to complete the projects on hand. The crew waited with bated breath as she reached the location. To their surprise, she remained calm and composed, changed her costumes and joined them. Scheduled for the day was a song sequence. The first shot: The actor visiting the house of the character portrayed by Maniyanpillai Raju in a car along with Prithviraj, the hero. As the music composed by Deepak Dev started playing, choreographer Brinda Master swung to action.
Fort Kochi, the location, heaved a sigh of relief as Mollywood welcomed the actor with love and care. While the actor returned to the sets on Saturda y, the Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate Court granted 10 days’ police custody of Pulsar Suni and Vijeesh, clearing the decks for further investigation. The court asked the police to produce the accused on or before 5 pm on March 5. The prosecution submitted before the court that crucial evidence, including the mobile phone used to record the video and the memory card, needed to be recovered. The police wanted to interrogate the accused, it said. Opposing the application for custody, counsel for the accused argued the Chief Minister, who also holds the Home portfolio, had said the incident was a plot hatched by the main accused. Hence, there was no need to inquire into the conspiracy angle.
The court said it was not a place to submit political statements. It will only consider statements with legal validity. The court will consider the bail plea of Sunil and Vijeesh on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the actor identified four of the accused persons - Manikandan, Martin, Salim and Pradeep - during an identification parade at the Aluva Sub Jail on Saturday evening. The parade was conducted in the presence of the Aluva Judicial First Class Magistrate ( JFCM) who would be filing a report to the JFCM, Angamaly. The actor arrived at the sub jail by 3.20 pm. Later, she went to Aluva Police Club to record her statements.
