P C George has a grand entry scene in Achayans

P C George MLA, who acted in Kannan Thamarakulam’s Achayans, says shooting was a hassle-free experience

KOCHI: Politician P C George has always been known for his witty remarks, outbursts and no-nonsense ways. And, he obviously can be no different while playing   himself in a movie too. The Janapaksham MLA, who recently shot for Kannan  Thamarakulam’s Achayans, says he has a particularly interesting and heroic entry scene in the movie.

“The highlight of my portion in the movie is this scene where I make a grand entry to rescue the protagonist from a violent mob of students and politicians. When the gang corners the young man, I intervene to rescue him and face the crowd,” says P C George.
The politician says he found it easy shooting for the movie.

“I have done a few movies before and facing the camera is no big deal for me. I had only one day shoot for the movie and it was all done in single takes ,” adds the veteran politician in his trademark style.
So, does he make a great actor like a politician? “I know that it is easy for the producer. I do the job perfectly and saves him some money,” laughs the Poonjar MLA.

P C George’s sequence in the movie was shot at GV Raja Ground at Poonjar. Achayans that has Jayaram, Amala Paul and Unni Mukundan in the lead, is  being shot in Kochi, Kuttikanam, Wagamon, Theni and Hyderabad.
