KOCHI: Palarivattom police on Tuesday arrested a 42-year-old man for circulating objectionable pictures of a woman, after morphing her photograph, on social media.
Police said Nassar Salim, an employee at the rubber division of Konni Estate, Pathanamthitta, was arrested based on a complaint by the victim, who hails from Palarivattom.
“The accused befriended the victim through Facebook and blackmailed her using the morphed photographs. He demanded money for not publishing the photographs, which she declined. Subsequently, he uploaded the photographs on Facebook and WhatsApp,” said police.
