KOCHI: A 32-year-old woman met with a grisly end after being bludgeoned to death allegedly by her husband at Thuruthy, near Kuruppampady, on Thursday morning. The deceased is Lekha, daughter of Neelakandan, hailing from Kuruppampady.
Her husband, Shivadasan, 42, a tile worker, who fled after the crime was later nabbed from Aluva by the Kuruppampady police. The incident occurred around 10 am at their house at Thuruthy.According to the police, the accused doubted his wife’s fidelity. On Thursday morning, Shivadasan hit her on the head with an iron rod in the courtyard of the house. On hearing cries for help, the neighbours rushed to the spot, However, she died on the spot.
