KOCHI: More than 60 people participated in a zumbathon flash mob organised at Renai Medicity on Monday as part of the ‘World Breast Cancer Awareness Month.’ Doctors as well as hospital staff of Renai Medicity participated in the flash mob which was led by Zumba artist Poornima and inaugurated by music director Deepak Dev. The post-lunch session of the awareness programme was followed by classes on breast cancer and a meeting of cancer survivors.
Dr Thomas Varghese, surgical oncologist and reconstructive surgeon, Renai Medicity, familiarised people with the innovations in breast cancer treatment . Dr Krishnanunni Polakulath, medical director, Renai Medicity; Krishnadas Polakulath, managing director; and cine artists Aparna Balamurali, Ambika Mohan and Seema G Nair also participated.
