KOCHI: The Rajagiri Public School conducted a Career Fair 2017 to orient the students of classes IX to XII regarding the various career options open to them. Fifteen eminent resource persons from different walks of life enlightened the students on careers such as medicine, armed forces, media and journalism, IT, start-ups, business management, travel and tourism, sports, health nutrition, architecture, finance management, fashion technology, film making and animation, hotel management and event management, humanities and civil services.
The sessions were held simultaneously in 15 venues and students could choose any four options. Students gained awareness regarding the possibilities of various professions, best institutions for related education, risk elements involved, myths to be shattered and truths to know. The students had earlier taken a standardised aptitude assessment to guide them regarding the careers suitable for them.
In the plethora of career options available today it is only natural that children feel confused about their future. The Rajagiri Career Fair 2017 is an initiative that helped the students gain focus on what they want their future to be.
