CPM to set up fund to help Abhimanyu’s family

The CPM Ernakulam district committee is setting up an assistance fund for the family of Abhimanyu.

KOCHI: The CPM Ernakulam district committee is setting up an assistance fund for the family of Abhimanyu. The money will be used to help with the marriage of Abhimanyu's sister, and also for the treatment of Arjun and Vineeth, both of whom were hospitalised following the attack.

The fund collection will be carried out on July 15 and 16, with M C Josephine in charge in Angamaly, P Rajeev and S Sharma in the Ernakulam MG Road area and C N Mohanan and K J Jacob in the Ernakulam market area. In Broadway, state committee member Gopi Kottamurikkal will lead the collection.

C M Dinesh Mani and C K Manishankar will lead the effort in Vyttila while M Swaraj MLA and M C Surendran will do so in Tripunithura.

P M Ismail and P R Muralidharan will be in charge in Muvattupuzha, N C Mohanan in Perumbavoor, T K Mohanan in Aluva and M P Pathrose will lead the collection in Nedumbassery.
