Jobs for kin of two 'demonetisation deceased'

Mamata Banerjee has promised to give job to wife of Kallol Raychaudhari at Land Revenue department of the state government.

KOLKATA: West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has announced that government jobs will
be given to the kin of two persons who died due to demonetisation.

Kallol Ray Chaudhuri of Behala in southwest Kolkata died last month of heart attack while standing in queue to withdraw money at an ATM in Bandel in Hooghly district, sharecropper Shibu Mandi of Burdwan district had committed suicide allegedly as a fallout of demonetisation.

Mamata Banerjee has promised to give job to wife of Kallol Raychaudhari at Land Revenue department of the state government and to the kin of Shibu Mandi in another government department.

According to the Trinamool Congress, some 93 people have died throughout the country as a direct and indirect result of demonetisation. Updated lists have been produced by the Trinamool Congress in the social media.
